  • Good deed of the day

Well my good deed of the day for Sunday is helping a dog find its home. Well anyway I was taking out the trash today and when I got back up to my house my dog, Roxy, was biting at this beagle and you know it was just a puppy about 10 weeks old. Well being the humanitaruim I am, I took a chain (the quickest leash I could find) and put it around its collar which had a tag on it but it was a rabies tag from illinois. I tried to call the clinic but it is Sunday and it was closed. So naturally I went out of my way and started walking around for this dogs owner.  Well first I went towards Jennifers house about a mile and I turned around and went back because I just happened to forget my socks and I now have blisters on both of my feet.  Well I went back to my house got some socks and took off towards west...I then turned south and walked a half of a mile that way but no luck.  I doubled back and continued north. I went exactly a mile (the place where you turn in to go to my house) and no luck. I was walking back and I stopped for a minute and what do you know a person drove up to me and said that they knew whos dog it was. Well he told me he'd take it to him and offered me a ride but I said no because i needed the exercise.  Well i started walking ahead and he drove up again.  He stopped and he gave me two dollars which i told him i couldnt accept but he insisted.  Well he told me that the person who the dog belonged to was on a church mission trip in Africa. Then he drove ahead of me and about an 8th of a mile ahead I actually saw the dog jump out of the back when the truck was moving.  I ran up and the driver noticed this too and he stopped I was like is he ok and the driver said yes.  Well after this I walked home two dollars richer.  The trip took me two hours and thirty minutes. And when I got home the first thing I did was get a bottle of water.  If you thought this story was interesting leave a comment.
